One day last week when I could actually lift my arm to craft (LOLOL!), I finished the second repeat of my Kidsilk Haze Shawl then added five more rows. It’s not that much further along than the last time you saw it but hey … progress is progress! Am I right or am I right? 😛
I think I’m going to take this on my upcoming trip to SC with my cousin. It’ll freak her out that I’m knitting in public, but I don’t care. #teampublicknitters 😀
Crafting wasn’t a total bust this week; on Friday night my “movie” was the first three modules of Abby Franquemont’s “Respect The Spindle” dvd. I’ve had this since Cyber Monday 2012; got it during the Knit Picks sale. I’ve looked at other videos via U-tube and Craftsy but this one is definitely the best instructional video I’ve seen. It makes the stuff I read in her book so much clearer. My goal is to work at my spindling again this week (I’m going to work at it tmw after work until it’s bedtime) then 45 mins every day before Friday. Hmmmm … maybe I can take my spindle to SC also. 💡
Hope you all got to work on your crafting more than I did last week!
Can’t wait to see how that turns out. I bought some mohair yarn a few months ago while I was out on jury duty that would make a nice lightweight shawl.
It really would! You should find a really great pattern for it.
That shawl will be beautiful and should definitely be knit on in public 🙂
Thanks for your kind words on my blog, I did have to gather up my courage to leave my old job but already I can feel the benefits of that choice coming to me. Really more than a choice about a particular job it is part of a bigger choice I am trying to make to act out of love and not fear.
Wishing you all the best
Thanks for the shawl love Sarah.
As for your change, I envy you and am sure that it must have taken some courage to do what you do. I’m truly inspired. Best to you always. 😀
Any progress is good progress. I have yet to use yarn that fine. I’m so intimidated! -Nizzy
Girl, it’s slow going because the yarn is so thin and I don’t feel like I’m moving it at all but the project will be beautiful in the end so I’m going to keep at it!
i watched 4 hours of the Great British Sewing Bee on the weekend… that counts as crafting right?
LOLOL! I’ll call that craft learning so yes … you get credit for crafting! 😀
