Confession: I Fell Off the Wagon …

not the yarn wagon, but the book one.  I wanted some more options for crochet edging since I’m getting ready to do my first crochet afghan so I fell.  Not hard but I fell.  Since you’re reading, I might as well show you what I got right?  😛

Cast On Cast Off

Crochet Edges

At least I’m 10 (not 5) days away from 60 days of no yarn purchases.

edited: cause I can’t count!  😛

Buying reference material (stitch dictionaries, etc) or items (buttons, zippers, needles, etc) to get you through your current or upcoming project doesn’t count. Pattern books, however, are a different animal. So you didn’t fall off the wagon!

I also have this book and have used one of the cast ons for mesh
/lace. I can’t say too much about it because I’ve only tried one thing so far, but I like having it available in my library.

      Yay!!! 😀

Since I bought this book I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. I was first thinking of the book with the same title by Leslie Ann Bestor, but this one has more options. I’m definitely glad I got this one. Can’t wait to receive it.

Thanks @Andi, @Tanya and @Heather!!! 😀 You ladies are really kind — I’ll take your advice and stop calling this a “fall”. 😛

Can I tell y’all why I’m NOT going to fall for real? After not using my debit card online for the longest time, I bought the books last night from KP since they were having a sale. 40% off so I got Cast On Bind off for $16.47 instead of $30 bucks at my local B & N. Can you say deal?!!!!!

Can I tell you that pronto today, someone tried to purchase $1350.00 worth of electronics? Yes … that really happened! Now I’m without access to my account for the next 12 hours and being issued a new debit card in the next 5 – 7 days!!!!! That good sale deed did give me some punishment!!! LOLOL!

I would not count this at all! 🙂

hahaha ! I’m liking the idea more and mroe of builing up my resource library, totally justified!

I second the above comment! 🙂 This looks like a lovely book, I’ll have to see if they have it at the book store so I can flip through it.

You know, I hardly think this counts. I think that if you have a large yarn stash, you require resource materials, such as needles, stitchmarkers, books, patterns etc in order to use your yarn. Anyways, that’s my justification. I have this book too and I really love it! It comes in handy all the time 🙂

It’s awesome to hear from someone I “know” use this book rather than just going with the reviews. Thanks so much for it and I accept your justification! 😀
