Sometimes You Just Have To Choose HAPPY!!!

According to renowned psychologist, M. Scott Peck in his book — The Road Less Traveled

Life is difficult.

This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths

And that’s no lie — just a statement of fact.

But despite life being difficult sometimes, we don’t have to roll over and die.  Because difficult, is not all life is!!!  No ma’am Ms Pam!!!  No way Jose!!!

I’m home from work today.

Why?

Because some guy thought that he could cut the bus that I was in (on my way home last night) off.   Dude, seriously?   He was pulling out of a packing spot, wasn’t paying attention, and rammed the bus on the right side.  I was sitting on the left side (thank God) cause where he hit, that’s my usual spot!  Another guy got on the bus and sat in that seat before me!  Luckily for us, the driver wasn’t going very fast, but when he hit the brake, I propelled forward.  I didn’t fall out my seat, but I felt my neck snap.  Honestly, I didn’t feel worse for the wear; neither did the other passengers, so we got off and those of us close to home, walked the rest of the way.  But by the time I got home, I could feel the tension in my neck and back.  It’s not an intense pain, but a dull throb and a feeling like someone is pulling my muscles really tight.

I tried to get myself up to go to work today, but I just couldn’t.  I got as far as getting my pants on.  LOLOL!!!!  I had to call out.

Then on top of that craziness, while I was trying work out my muscle tension, the bank sent me a text msg.   After purchasing these books online, some “kind” 🙄 person thought it was okay to relieve me of $1350.00 at some online electronics store.

When these things happen, although frustrating or painful, we still have choice.  We can either go under:

OR

choose to be Happy.

I’m choosing Happy!!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful day!!!!  😀  Off to take my muscle relaxant now!!!!

Wow, I hope you’re having less pain since that accident. Careful with those muscle relaxants, they make you drowsy.

I’m definitely on the mend friend! I feel absolutely fine today!

Wow, I am late in catching up on all your adventures. Hope you are continuing to take care of yourself. Neck injuries can really cause more problems is you don’t rest.
Ugh and on top of that the issues with your bank. I am so sorry. Good for you for choosing happy. Sometimes it can be trying, but it still remains the best choice.

“Sometimes it can be trying, but it still remains the best choice.”

      I couldn’t agree more. 😀

Neck injury is no joke. (Ask me how I know.) Good that you took time off. Take it easy & take care.

It’s okay T. After I got frustrated, I had to laugh at the irony of it!!! So come on … join me in the giggles. 😀

I’m feeling better already. Making some chili with cornbread for dinner. That should do the trick!

Hoping everything is fixed & feeling better soon! I don’t know who said but I love the quote “pain is inevitable – suffering is optional.”

I couldn’t agree more! Every time I feel myself becoming overwhelmed with all of it, I pray. I’ve “suffered” long enough; I have to remember sometimes that bad things also happen to good people then move on!!!
