Christmas Gift? Maybe …

I’m thinking of taking the handmade challenge for Christmas 2011.  I’m also thinking I probably should have started already since I’m a slow knitter … ah well … what’s done is done; July 1st is already gone.  😉

I’m testing the pattern below as gifts for my cousin and her brother’s wife.  I’m still not sure about it, but as with almost anything else, I’m gamed to try at least once.  😀

My plan is to do the knit in a less weighty yarn than bulky/chunky.  I’m going to start testing tomorrow (I mean today since I’m up at 12:37 am 😀)  and will post results in a couple of days; the pattern seems easy enough to be able to do that although I’m a slow knitter.

Dusting Off …

It’s been a while since I posted on this blog.  As a matter of fact, the last time, the blog had a different name, theme and focus.  I’ve decided to dust it off and use it to separate my creative endeavors from my every day rantings.  😀

I’m getting rid of the tumble-weeds  … *insert western song/whistles* and getting down to crafty business.

My goal is to finish what I start and use this blog as an opportunity to document my growth as a new knitter, eventually a crocheter, a novice photographer and seamstress.    It might sound like a huge endeavor but I’m beginning to understand that most creative souls have a polygamous relationship among the many crafty mediums and there’s absolutely no reason why I can’t as well.  😀   I’ve dabbled in all the mediums, now I want to be really, really, really, reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally good at all of them. 😳

I’ll probably spend some time later today transferring some of the F.O. posts from my other blog, so it can be seen that I did do something in my absence … not alot … but something. 😀

Enjoy as I dust off my creative lethargy and get back into the saddle.
