Weekend Happy!

My weekends are usually filled to the brim.  Filled to the point where I’m tired on Monday mornings when the new work week starts.  So this weekend, I started early.  All my cleaning, laundry and house-work were done earlier.  Linen and curtains changed.  My bathroom redone for spring!  My apt windows opened to let the wonderful spring air in.

I squeezed in a marathon conversation with my mum … as usual … but I feel good heading into Sunday.  Tomorrow morning’s for cooking, baking and getting my clothes ready for the upcoming week.  By 2:00 pm, all things being well, I should get some knitting or crochet in and just relaxing.

What made me happy this weekend:

Season 1 of Downton Abbey.

It’s amazing that I had this series queued in my Netflix account long before the Downton Abbey hype.  I’ve always loved these period, British inspired movies and series because they remind me so much of the British influence where I’m from.  The caste system, the setup of villages instead of cities, parishes instead of states, the food, the language, tea — they all remind me so much of home.

Hope you each are having a wonderful weekend as well.

A New Welcome!!!

When I started this blog a few years ago it was started as a fashion, cooking, outfits of the day wanna be.  I soon realised that I didn’t have the stamina to keep up the way most fashion bloggers do so that went by the wayside.  Added to that I’m not exactly the best shopper.  After a little bit, I begin the lose it with the volume of merchandise and shoppers around.  Aye vey!!!  😛

So after dusting the blog off last year, it changed to a craft blog and quickly became my happy place.  I found the crafting community to be very welcoming and for the most part I found a place where I belonged (for want of a different word).

Internal changes have caused me to close my other blog “Metamorphosis” yesterday.  Nothing’s wrong, but I’m not the person I was when I started that blog and it was time to let it go.  That said, rather than strictly be a craft blog, D’Nali’s changing to a “anything that makes me creative and happy blog”.  That might mean, some food, some wine, some books, some chocolate, some makeup, some clothes, some tidbits about where I’m from originally, some shoes, some tradition, some earrings, some decor, some sticks, some hooks and always yarn!  😀

I hope my current readers stick around despite the changes and I hope that the readers from my older blog come in and make themselves comfortable.  🙂
