Nothing Lasts Forever …

Right now, we’re experiencing temps close to zero, with the wind chill it is zero and below.  High today is 18.  Goodness gracious, what a start to winter!!!

This morning at 7:12 am —

Five hours later:

IMG_4195The temps are brutal!  News is warning people who are outside to bundle up and not risk hypothermia or frostbite.  That’s how brutal the temps are.

This morning it looked like the sun would not be out today, but it’s back and we’re supposed to warm up by tomorrow.  I guess like everything in life — the chill of winter is temporary … like everything else, it doesn’t last forever.

“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.”

Goodness gracious!!! Glad you were inside safe and warm. I’m complaining bout our little ole minus 11. I don’t know what I would have done with -40. Woooo Nellie!

I’ll be breaking out my shorts — can you believe it’s going to be 50 on Sat!!!! Nuts!!!!!

As for knitting in public, I used to be embarrassed by the way I work the needles … now … pshhhhh … whatever man. I’m a public knitting machine now. LOLOL! I tell you, sometimes these hangups are really all in our heads.

I love how you work a delay! LOLOL!

I always like the view of a snowstorm from the comfort of a warm living room, LOL As much as I like snow, I’m over it. Already counting down the days until spring.

I hear you! I love watching it come down but the aftermath is insane. Chunks of snow all over the place looking so dirty. Not the pretty white beauty it was while it was coming down.

This is the number one thing I do not miss about living in North America, winter! In Toronto it has been -25 (celsius) with windchill. Chills me to even write that. However I sometimes miss the snow. Bundle up and take care and Happy New Year.

Chills me reading it! Wow! And I thought we were cold!

I really like snow; I just don’t like having to go out in it after it falls. 😀

You take care too and have the best year ever! Cheers for a wonderful 2014!
